I'm Dick Himmel, President of TekSource. Unlike most recruiters, I have over thirty
years experience in the microelectronics business - at IBM, Philco-Ford, Burroughs and
Hughes Electronics. My BS degree is in Physics. I've been involved in a lot of
research/development, engineering and manufacturing in the Microelectronics field. For a
few years I had P&L responsibility for a $60M Product Line, so I understand business
problems! I've authored over twenty technical papers, hold a few patents, and have been
active in the Microelectronics Society ( I was the first Technical Vice President of ISHM
back in the eighties).
The reason for the biographical sketch is not to find a job - I'm quite happy with
TekSource, but to show that I am well qualified to recruit for the microelectronics field;
I can quickly understand the requirements of most positions, from CEO to Sustaining
Engineer. I can also easily identify qualified candidates from their resumes.
TekSource is a Personnel Placement firm which specializes in Managers,  Engineers, Scientists and other professionals working in the
field of Microelectronics. Our candidates have experience in applications from Consumer to
Aerospace. Our services are free to candidates and modestly priced to client companies.
While I was working in industry, I felt a lofty disdain for "headhunters", they
were a persistent pain in the neck! In order to avoid this, TekSource recruiting technique
is a bit different.  We maintain an extensive listing of
candidates who are available for employment. When jobs become available, we match them
against our candidate list - you might say that we are modern employment
"matchmakers". We also provide candidate exposure by including selected
anonymous resume summaries on our website.
